Blue Turban Percussion have facilitated many workshops in West African drum, dance and song. These include workshops for school groups, both primary and secondary, The Australian Childhood Foundation, Spring Fling Festival, Daylesford Singers Festival, Earthcore, Earthdance, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Opoiea Eco. Arts retreat, Earthcore (Sidney Myer Music Bowl) and various other music festivals, council events, corporate events, community events, private celebrations, conferences and the disability field. |Traditional West African instruments used include: djembe, shekere, kpanlogo, gome, doun-doun, tama (talking drum), and other light percussion such as bells and shakers.|
|Workshops are conducted regularly in Northcote for beginners and intermediate players. |
Cost $20 pp for groups
Drums supplied (no charge) for those without. One on one lessons are also available.
